About Us
At
Celestial White Shepherds our dogs are family members first. They
are a very important part of our family. All our shepherds live in our
home and are treasured family members. They even have their very own
toy box and comfortable beds to lie on. To keep them in good health
they get regular exercise and training. We keep busy with training in
various performance events which include herding, obedience and agility.
Celestial’s breeding program is to produce the well-rounded
dog that is sound in both body and mind. Our breeding stock is
evaluated to be free of both Hip & Elbow Dysplasia by both Orthopedic
Foundation for Animals (OFA) and
PennHip.
Celestial White Shepherds have produced Grand Champions, Champions,
Best of Show, Reserve Best in Show, Certified Search & Rescue,
Canine Good Citizens (CGC), Therapy Dogs (TDI) and herding dogs.

About
the Founder
Becky L. Joyce has had a life long love for dogs. She has owned, bred,
trained and been an active member of the White Shepherd community since
1995. She is the Herding Chair for the American
White Shepherd Association and
is a member of the German
Shepherd Dog Club of America and the White
Shepherd Club of Canada.
For 10 years she has trained at Northfield Dog Training in Ann Arbor,
MI. She takes weekly herding lessons at Hado-Bar Farm in Nova, OH. Her
trainer Kelly Malone owns three German Shepherds and
in 2006 at the GSDCA Nationals took the Herding Victrix title home with
her beloved Reva. Becky has had the privilege
of training and attending many herding clinics with the renowned Cappy
Pruett. Working with her dogs keeps them happy,
well-rounded individuals and creates a wonderful bond between them.
Her White Shepherds have earned Grand Champion & Champion
titles, Best of Breed, multiple Reserve Best of Breed, obedience titles
with placements and herding titles with placements.
Becky is a firm believer in retaining the herding instinct in the White
Shepherd.
She believes in the well-rounded dog that can do it all; a dog that can
perform in a multiple of performance events and still be a conformation
show winner, as well as a loving family companion and pet.
Her love and dedication to the White Shepherd is highlighted by her
desire to retain the herding instinct and promote the betterment of the
breed. |
